Well done Tom you have analysed 5 magazine covers, 4 posters and 13 trailers.

Targets: when analysing the film trailers, try and always explain how the camera shot/sound/editing engages and attracts the target audience.

Consider the different codes used in the trailer.  For example, enimga codes, technical codes and verbal codes.

Verbal codes - the diegetic and non-diegetic sound and its effect on the audience

Technical codes - camera shots and editing and their effect on the audience

Enigma codes - puzzles teasing the audience and questions left answered
